How to invest in Yourself!!!

Why do people reluctantly invest in themselves?

Our world today is very chaotic and we are always nickel and diming ourselves because our economy is so up and down all the time.  Typically when we say or hear the word "invest", we think stocks or property or some tangible item that will give us a healthy return on our money.  Or maybe we invest in our children or our marriage, with time that we have very little of these days.

One thing I have learned over the years is that investing in other material things and our families is all good but the first thing we need to do before everything else is invest in ourselves.  Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to imply that you should be selfish.  But it's about getting yourself to a better place mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically so we have the strength and right mindset to be available for our families and our finances.

I know this situation all too well.  No matter how hard I tried to invest in business, my family and all the other things we hold dear to our hearts, I continued to get burned out and was useless, tired and stressed out all the time.

Then I happened upon a business that I could work from home and even though that was Step 1, I really didn't understand anything about personal growth.   I realized I still had so much more to learn so I started getting plugged in to reading certain books, participating in webinars and even incorporated meditation into my daily ritual about how to change my mindset.  I began to feel more grateful for what I had in my life instead of always thinking I needed to reach the next "level" before I could be happy.

It feels so incredible that I have taken that first step to a better me. With the right work at home business all the way down to my personal self confidence, I now have more time to spend with my family and I have more money to invest in the things I have always dreamt about just by investing in me.  One of my goals is to help others do the same with their lives by giving back or paying it forward.  When you are ready to start investing in yourself, let me know and I will show you how I did it and with a minimal financial investment.

Good luck to you all and feel free to reach out to me to help you get started on a better YOU!

Why people struggle to be content

Why do so many people hate what they do and how did they get there?

The really awesome thing is we live in a country where we can be anything we want to be, we are so blessed to have the freedom we have been given.  The problem is we all live in such a fast paced society sometimes we don't even have time to slow down and think long enough to know we are not content.  When we are in our teens and 20's we think we have plenty of time to figure it out.  Then, before we know it we are in our late 30's or 40's or even 50's and look back and say, "where did the time go and what did I accomplish?"  Sometimes we say I did xyz and I am happy, but more often we say, "I wish I would have done this or that."

The common misconception we have is that we think once we are older we are stuck and that we are just too old to change what we do so we stay in the same old place until we get to retirement.  Of course that's providing we still have a retirement.  We also get stuck in a rut that it's too late to see our dreams come true.  We believe in the lie that our time has come and gone.

The reason I say this is because I am 52 years old and I have lived a life as a window installer.  I owned my own business but I truly never thought I would be anything more than that.  I never went to college because I did not think I needed to further my education.  Years later I realized my body could not take it anymore and I had to make a change before I ended up like my Dad, who's body is beat down from doing the same kind of work until he was 65 years old.  I knew I did not want that for myself.  Don't get me wrong, I have had a very prosperous life at times, but there were other times during my life that I lost it all due to the economy.

When the stress and unfulfillment became too much, I began to pray for new direction and for God to help me find my purpose.  After months of praying and wondering what was in store for me next, I saw a Facebook post that would eventually change my life.  As I checked out this new opportunity I spent about 3 months researching and trying the product before I pulled the plug.  I ultimately made the decision to go from a blue collar worker to having my own home based business.  Now that I am 9 months into my new home based business and I don't have to worry about layoffs, punching a clock, sitting in traffic day in and day out and I feel fantastic.  I love what I do and I can be my own boss, set my own hours, go on vacation when I want to and not have to help someone else get rich.

My encouragement to you today is that there is a BETTER way.  You too can discover what God has in store for your life and begin to pray about it.  If you feel like God is saying to make a change then it's time to start looking.  I would love to share with you what I have learned in my venture and even provide some insight to anyone who is looking to make that transition.  Or maybe you just want to earn some extra income and stay where you are.   Either way, reach out to me and let me help you make 2016 the year you make YOUR dreams come true!

Commuting to Work VS Working From Home

Why do people get up at the crack of dawn, sit in traffic for 1-2 hours, and go to a job for 8 hours to just get back in their car to sit in traffic again at the end of the day?

We live in a society where we have been programmed that we have to do what the masses do to be normal.   We have to look for a job, secure a job, get paid from that job to pay our bills, and repeat every day.  We think if we do this we will be living the American Dream!

The real problem with this scenario is that we truly hate it.  Sitting in traffic every day and helping someone else get rich just to pay the mortgage and put food on the table is really not what we want at all.  Some may even think as they are sitting in their cars watching the time tick by, that there has got to be a "better way."

Why am I saying all of this? Because I was one of those people who was programmed to do what the masses are doing.  I was a Contractor for many years, yes I had my own business, but living in Atlanta, GA you truly have to spend years here just to know every shortcut and what time to leave and which way to go so you don't hit that 2 hour traffic pattern.  Even when you "think" you know the traffic patterns you can never predict an accident or even getting caught behind a school bus.  Not to mention the toll this is taking on your body from the stress each and every day.

One day I decided there had to be a better way to spend my valuable time than to spend 1000 hours per year sitting behind the wheel of my vehicle just trying to get to a place I did not want to be.  So I started searching and praying for a way to make an income from home.  I spent many years searching for the right fit for me while I was still commuting every day.  Then after many attempts and challenges I finally was able to discover the one thing I could do that allowed me to sleep in every day and wake up with my gorgeous wife.  It is AWESOME to be able to enjoy life on my own terms! I get to travel any time I want and I can work my business from anywhere in the world.  It has been the best decision I could have made for myself and my family.

I would love to see you and millions more like you, take the same leap I did and get your life back. Will it take hard work and personal growth? Absolutely!
But I know you are worth it!

If you're not sure how to pursue looking for the right venture or how to even go about it, feel free to reach out to me.  I will be glad to assist you any way I can.  Remember the time you spend behind the wheel of your car is time you could be with your family and fulfilling YOUR dreams.
